Meet Dr Sav Gunaratnam BDSc. (Hons), GradDipDentImpl.
Born and raised in Brisbane, Dr. Sav obtained her Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours from the University of Queensland in 2013. Following graduation, she worked in private dental practices in Brisbane and Chinchilla (rural Queensland). She also completed dental volunteer work in India and rural Australia. She joined the TC Smiles Team in 2019.
In 2022, she completed her Graduate Diploma in Dental Implantology. Since then, she has been placing and restoring dental implants, and providing dental implant services, to patients at TC Smiles. She is very passionate about implant dentistry. She frequently attends courses to further advance her skills and knowledge in this field.
Dr. Sav’s other interests within dentistry include wisdom tooth surgery, surgical extractions, crown and bridge work, root canal treatments and clear aligner treatment (Invisalign).
Dr. Sav is very passionate about helping people. She looks forward to meeting new patients and helping them achieve their smile goals. As a mother of two, she has a very patient, caring and empathetic nature.
Outside The Practice
Outside of the dental practice, Dr. Sav enjoys spending time with her two children, hiking and yoga.
